2015:
After many years of providing our diverse services to Offshore Gulf of Mexico production facilities, along with IT services both offshore and inland, we decided to extend our extensive generator and electrical experience to non-oilfield customers in 2015. This included Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Medical and Municipal clients. At this time, we became authorized dealers and service providers (including Warranty Services) for Cummins Power Generation and Kohler Power Systems. To encompass the larger scale of our business, we began using the name Sirius Power for our Generator and Electrical work.
2016:
In September 2016, with the acquisition of the assets, customers (including Maintenance Contracts), and employees of DND Power of Basile, LA, Sirius Power tripled in size. Along with this growth, we also became authorized dealers and service providers for Generac Power Systems.
2019:
In May 2019, Sirius Power continued its growth and areas of coverage with the acquisition of the assets, customers, and employees of Broad Point Energy of New Iberia, LA. With this acquisition, Sirius Power doubled in size and quadrupled our service area, and became authorized dealers and service providers for Briggs & Stratton Generators. For the customers and potential customers acquired, Sirius is doing business as Broad Point Power for generator services and Broad Point Energy for our electrical services.
1968 through 2023:
As a result of our acquisitions, whether you know us as Sirius Power, Broad Point Power, Broad Point Energy, or DND Power, we are all the same company, bringing you Power Generation and Electrical Services experience extending from 1968 beginning as Delhomme Industries, which was rebranded as GenStar Power Services in 2004, then rebranded as Broad Point Energy in 2014., through today.Sirius Power’s founder and CEO, Peter Vidrine, began learning electrical work with his father, Hugee Vidrine, when he was only 13 years old, just two years after Dick Delhomme founded Delhomme Industries. After graduating from St. Edmund’s High School in 1975 and attending some college, Peter returned to his love of the electrical field and became a Journeyman Electrician working primarily in the Oilfield and Industrial environment. When Peter took a leap of faith and formed his own company in 2003, it took off and has been a huge blessing to him and his family.
From the first day Peter has been in the workforce through his founding of Sirius Technologies until now, Peter has had one mission statement that has carried through:
Do the Right Thing because it’s the Right Thing to do.
We still make you that promise: that we will do the Right Thing, because it’s the Right Thing to do!
